Booking conditions and information
THE CONTRACT
This Contract is made between the Visitor and the Owner of Petit Tor, Ventnor and is made subject to the following Conditions of Hire and the Booking Conditions and Information supplied. The acceptance of a Booking creates a Contract between the Visitor and the Owner of Petit Tor. Once the Booking Form and Deposit have been received the Holiday Booking for Petit Tor is then full and final, and the full rental will be required, even if you have to cancel your holiday (see CANCELLATION in these Booking Conditions). We recommend you consider buying Holiday Insurance to cover the possibility of Cancellation.
PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT
Visitors are required to complete our Booking Form online and send this with your payment of 50% of the relevant tariff rate, plus an extra £100 Security Deposit to cover potential breakages, to formally secure the booking you require. We accept cheques, debit and credit cards, and BACs bank transfers. We will also require the names and ages of all guests in your party and your email address. The Security Deposit is held against any damage, breakage or additional cleaning that is needed in the property. Deposits are NOT refundable upon cancellation for any reason. The deposit will also be used to cover cancellation charges (see CANCELLATION clause). The Security Deposit of £100, or balance of Security Deposit, will be returned to the Visitor as soon as administratively possible after departure providing that everything is in order. Telephone reservations will be held for up to 24 hours to allow you to check travel routes/bookings, and officially confirmed once we have received your completed Booking Form and 50% deposit payment. The balance and/or full rental payment must be received 12 weeks before arrival date. No reminder will be sent for this money. Please note our prices are per Week, Weekend Break or Midweek Break. Should you book within 12 weeks of your arrival date, the full balance is due at time of Booking. If any items left behind after your departure are to be returned to you then a £10.00 handling charge, plus postage and packaging will be deducted from your returnable deposit.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Visitors may take up occupation of Petit Tor after 3.00pm on arrival day and must vacate promptly by 10.00am on departure day. (Please note that early arrival or late departure may result in a deduction from your returnable deposit).
OVERCROWDING
Under no circumstances is the maximum number of 4 persons stated in the property description to be exceeded at ANY TIME. We reserve the right to terminate the Contract and the Visitor will be liable for the full booking hire charge and the Security Deposit will be automatically forfeited. We do not allow parties as Petit Tor is designed as relaxing family holiday accommodation.
DAMAGE
Visitors are asked to please leave Petit Tor as they find it in a clean and tidy condition. Any damage or breakages are the responsibility of the Visitor. Please advise us of any breakages that occur before you vacate otherwise you risk losing all of your deposit.
Additional cleaning where marks have been accidentally left on furniture etc may incur an additional cleaning fee which will be deducted from the Security Deposit.
We would expect wet and muddy dogs to be handled appropriately and dog mess to be cleaned up. There is a dog bin provided in the bin area by the entrance gates.
There is an outside tap provided at the front of Petit Tor for cleaning of boots and sandy feet.
There is also a dustpan and brush provided in the kitchen.
CANCELLATION
Once the Deposit and initial payments have been paid and accepted, visitors are liable for all the charges of the holiday and a binding Contract has been deemed to be made between the holiday Visitor and the Owner. Any Cancellation made by the Visitor (for whatever reason) shall be in writing to Mrs S Gosling via email, please obtain a confirmation reply from us directly (not an auto receipt) that this has been received. Any Cancellation deemed necessary by the Owners (for whatever reason) shall also be In Writing, giving as much notice as possible to the Visitor. The effective date of Cancellation is when written notification is received. In the event of the Visitor cancelling, we will endeavour to rebook the holiday accommodation but a cancellation charge of £100 will be levied on the Visitor, and the non-refundable deposit will be forfeited. If we are unable to rebook the accommodation, the Visitor will be liable for the full amount due even if the accommodation is not taken up (payment is due 12 weeks prior to the start of the holiday). We would strongly recommend Visitors arrange full travel insurance (including cancellation cover) as soon as they submit the signed Booking Form. Should it be necessary for the Owners to Cancel a full refund will be issued but will not cover any travel costs incurred by the Visitor.
PETS
Dogs are allowed at Petit Tor subject to agreement with the Owner, depending on breed type. We generally only allow maximum 2 small lap dogs, but please ask for further details. There is an additional £50 fee per pet, per stay, in addition to the property deposit. 50% of this is refunded after your stay providing the property has been left in good order. Visitors are required to clean up after their dogs in the grounds of Petit Tor. A dog bin is provided in the bin area near the main entrance to Petit Tor.
NO SMOKING
Petit Tor is legally a strictly NO SMOKING or VAPING holiday let. You may smoke outside in the front garden and any smoking paraphernalia or smoking waste must be removed and extinguished.
